RX Clinic Napier

The RX Clinic covers a full range of Weightlifting and Gymnastic skills.

Starting from fundamentals:

  • Shape and Core use for handstands, tension swings leading to kipping, butterfly and bar muscle ups.

  • Four stages of lifting movements to understand positioning and partial movements.

Progressing to application of fundamentals:

  • Ring swinging, kipping and muscle ups.
  • Overhead positions and movements.

Finally, crossfit application for high rep and modified movements:

  • Linking bar and ring movements.
  • Tap-and-go bar movements from the ground and over head.

The RX Clinic guarantees all athletes will leave with a greater ability and understanding of Olympic Weightlifting and Gymnastics. Join us and unleash the athlete within.

  • 9:00-12:30am Weightlifting including 15 minute break

           Snatch Fundamentals

 Back activation, holding tension, assistance exercises, 4 portions of a snatch, application to heavy and fast lifts.

Application of points to Clean

12.30 - 1 .30 Lunch 

  • 1.30- 2.30pm Gymnastics

           Gymnastics Shape and application to the bar.

  • 2.45 - 3.45

Butterflys 

  • 4.00 - 5 .00
